The HV4K 4 Each One Educate One Program is a transformative initiative serving as a U.S.-based partner to the Each One Educate One (E1E1) Foundation, the Prashanthi Balamandira Trust (PBT), operating as a dedicated part of the One World One Family Mission. Our program provides a platform for donors to support comprehensive educational scholarships for underprivileged rural children in India, covering everything from tuition and residential costs to specialized programs like the Sai Symphony Orchestra and the Nada Gurukulum. By maintaining a 0% administration fee policy and committing 33% of our product profits to the cause, HV4K ensures that 100% of your tax-deductible contributions directly fund the "circle of good"—supporting students through values-based primary schooling all the way to India’s first free medical college and university system. Together, we are empowering first-generation literates to reach their highest potential and return as professionals who serve their own communities.
What is the Each One Educate One (E1E1) and the Prashanthi Balamandira Trust (PBT)?
E1E1 is a registered not-for-profit organization in India that provides scholarships, and supports schools and programs, for underprivileged children from rural areas in India, who are studying in higher primary, secondary, and higher secondary levels at values-based schools, which are run by the PBT.
The scholarships are given to students without any discrimination through an in-depth screening process, which includes an income review, government records review, and parent-child interviews. Many children studying at these schools are first-generation literates and come from families that lack even the most fundamental necessities of life like food, shelter, health, and education. The PBT is a Public Charitable Trust that was founded in April 1981. The PBT currently runs 27 residential values-based schools across India called Loka Seva Gurukulam schools. These schools cover 18 districts in the state of Karnataka, one district in the state of Telangana, and one district in the state of Tamil Nadu. PBT has a long-term vision to open one school in every district in every state in India, which is nearly 800 in all. There are approximately 3,000 students being educated in the higher primary, secondary, and higher secondary residential schools run by the PBT.
In addition to this, the PBT runs 4 University campuses, including the first free medical college in India! The beauty of this model is that the kids that go through the primary, secondary, and higher secondary residential schools have an opportunity to join one of the free Universities run by the PBT. The university graduates then come back and work within the PBT educational and medical ecosystem. This circle of good is an incredible boon for these children because such opportunities are generally out of reach for them. Please see the image below for a detailed view of the geographical footprint of the PBT-managed schools or click on the following link to learn more about the extensive social service programs supported by the Trust: Prashanthi Balamandira Trust.

How is the Scholarship Investment Utilized for Each Student?
The scholarship program covers all the operational costs for the students, which include their complete educational expenses as well as their food, clothing & uniforms, daily essentials, and residential costs. See the images below for a detailed cost breakdown per student for both the higher primary, secondary, and higher secondary schools as well as the universities..

Sai Symphony Orchestra
The Sai Symphony Orchestra is now the largest student orchestra in India. The orchestra is made up primarily of students from rural India but also includes some students from other parts of the world as well as teachers, and at times, visiting professionals from around the world.
The fact that 90%+ of the students come from a background where they had never even seen such Western instruments, let alone imagined playing them, is a miracle in and of itself. The student orchestra has played for Presidents, Prime Ministers, and business leaders from around the world, and they are just beginning to spread their wings. They have a vision to play around the world to show what is possible when children are given opportunities to reach their highest potential.
Led by master teacher, Dimitris Lambrianos, who sacrificed a lucrative music career in the United States to teach rural kids in India, they are a force of good in the world, who exemplify unity in diversity, harmony across cultures, and musical excellence.
Your support of this program will help cover the cost of new musical instruments, instrument repair, uniforms, and travel expenses.
